I have been attending and planning events for tech and cybersecurity since 2015. I love this part of marketing as it puts your most critical messaging in the room with your audience! The swag, the catering, the vendors, the sponsors, the tiniest of details – I absolutely love it. In high school, I planning our Junior prom. I was the graduation chair, finalizing every detail before the ceremony, running around in my white gown, trying to make it perfect for everyone.

In 2021, I planned and participated in over 100 events as the Director of Marketing at CyberSN, both virtual and in-person. These ranged from small virtual gatherings with local and regional cybersecurity group, and large booths at events like Black Hat. This entailed managing the speaker submissions, content and social media calendar, logistics…and everything else that enabled my team to show up and rock their jobs.

Since 2022, I have also taken front and center as a speaker.

Highlights from the last 10 years of events in the cybersecurity community.

Can you find the White Rabbit? We had a contest to solve the cipher above to win a lock-picking set with the design above leading to a scavenger hunt, designed by the CyberSN team.
I was the Lead on the event team that planned and executed a programmable, weldable badge that could be modified to turn on and do programs for TiaraCon 2017.
It was an honor to host a DEFCON official party, which required months of project and event planning and a $15,000 budget, as TiaraCon.
We had a “white rabbit” sticker search with the prize of a nice lock-picking set, which was won by two DEFCON attendees.
Tiaracon was the FIRST mini-conference for women and LGBTQ folks from the cybersecurity community hosted during DEFCON 27. This was the precursor to The Diana Initiative and has many of the same team members.
