Hello there! I am Lisa, or “L”, as I prefer to be called. I am a Director of Digital Marketing – which mean I connect companies with communities on the web – and I have worked with the cybersecurity community for 10 years, come this February!

Originally from the West coast (Los Angeles most recently – Go Dodgers!), I now live in Central IL. With a passion for marketing programs with social impact, I have helmed campaigns both large and small companies. I have run a number of Career Fairs for the cyber community at conferences including: BSides Chicago, RaicesCon, ISC2 Congress, CypherCon, TiaraCon and more.

Diving into with world of consulting in 2022, I have since serviced projects for a range of clients for projects involving: Speaker Support, C-Suite Strategic Advisor, HubSpot Integration, SEO Optimization, SERP and PR, Content Development, Email Marketing, Graphic Design, Event Planning, Social Media Management, and Community Engagement work.

Prior to going into consulting, I was the Director of Marketing at CyberSN for 7 years, where I was the marketing leader of record from their inception though their growth into 40+ FTEs and a network of 50,000 job seekers. In that role, I oversaw hundreds of events in the cybersecurity field, created dozens of industry partners, and developed a deep and wide skillset with live and online events. Concurrently, I was also the Marketing Manager for Secure Diversity, a not-for-profit founded to bring new professionals into the cybersecurity field (started by the same CEO), that still puts on the Day of Shecurity Conference and series of Events.

In 2020, I tested my mettle when I went to grad school for my MS in Digital Marketing. I graduated as the class Valedictorian and won the Course Director’s Award for Social Media Marketing. In addition to that, I also hold a BA in Women’s Studies from UC Santa Barbara, advanced Google Analytics certifications, a Web Development certification, and I have experience in the technical recruiting, retail, sales, finance, and non-profit sectors. From 2017-2022, I was a Core Team member of the Day of Shecurity Steering Committee series of conferences, which sparked my initial love for professionally developing events.

I currently serve as the Director of Partnerships with Raíces Cyber Org, supporting their 20+ Active Chapters, as well as the Events Lead for WiCyS People with Disabilities and Caregivers.
